Yesterday evening, Rodney Gatt won a race from the Mediterranean Horse Racing Championship held at the La Favorita Racetrack in Palermo. He won with Sogno d'Asolo registering 1'17"1 over 1600m. 

In the other race he was awarded 3rd place for championship classification as the driver who actually won the race was not one of the championship's participants.

As the Italian driver Matteo di Meo also managed a 1st and 3rd place, Malta and Italy tied for first place in this leg.

Malta had won the 1st leg held on our island on 31st March, so this means that our country is still occupying first place in this championship.
