Cherise Farrugia Wins Race in Norway

During these two days young driver Cherise Farrugia was participating in the European Championship for Female Amateur drivers in Norway. She drove a total of three races, two in Bjerke on Tuesday evening and one at Momarken the following day.

In the first race Cherise was leading all the way with Quarry Tile but he tired out in the end finishing only in fourth place. In the following race she was disqualified after her horse Mr Fax gallopped in the finishing straight.

In the third and last race, Cherise was driving hot favourite Apollo Creed and she immediately took the lead from post number 5 and was able to control the race all the way to take a very comfortable and easy victory. This though was not enough for her to finish with the top three.

The championship was won by the Norwegian driver Anette Frones who had already won this honour in 2015 and finished third in 2018. In second place was the Finnish driver Minna Rampa and third Spaniard Antonia Vaquer.

Cherise finished 6th from 13 countries.
