Representing our country for the first time, Nathaniel Barbara managed to guide his horse Boss FKS first past the finishing post even though he was not considered as one of the favourites.

This very important victory meant that Malta was declared the overall winner of the championship as this race carried double points. In this race Romania finished second thus also totalling 41 points like Malta but as Romania had not won a race the Championship title was awarded to the Maltese Team which was composed of Noel Baldacchino, Nathaniel Barbara and Paul Galea. Italy finished third with 34 points.
