The third edition of the Executive Security Championship for Silver Category horses will reach its climax on Sunday 3rd April with the final being disputed between 12 horses over the 2140m distance.

 

82 horses partecipated in eight heats that were raced between Saturday and Sunday 5th & 6th March so that 32 horses qualified for the three semi finals on Sunday 20th March. The three horses that won these semi finals had also won their heats and so we are foreseeing a well balanced final also taking into considerations that times registered were quite close.

 

Overseeing the draws were the owners of the finalist horses who were also addressed by Edwin Borg, Vice Chairman of the Malta Racing Club and EquestriMalta as well as Stephen Ciangura, Director of Executive Security.

 

Apart from the trophy and a commemorative blanket awarded to the owner of the winner, as well as trophies for those placing in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, each finalist horse will be given a personalised starting number to be kept as a souvenir of their partecipation.

 

The race will be the eighth one of the programme starting at 4:25 pm.
