The Executive Security Championship Final will be raced on the 29th June and is reserved for Silver Category horses.  Thanks goes to the Director of this company Stephen Ciangura who for the second consecutive year is sustaining local horse racing as he knows first hand how important it is for local companies to provide these kind of sponsorships in order for high level competitions to be organised.

 

The twelve finalists had to pursue a long road to reach this stage as this category has the highest number of participants. Initially 89 horses took part in 11 heats on the 22nd and 23rd May with 44 of them going on to the quarter finals on 6th June. Two semi finals were raced on 18th June so we found out the 12 horses whose starting numbers were drawn today.

 

Overseeing the draws were the owners of the finalist horses who were also addressed by Edwin Borg, Vice Chairman of the Malta Racing Club and EquestriMalta as well as Stephen Ciangura, Director of Executive Security.

 

Apart from the trophy and a commemorative blanket awarded to the owner of the winner, as well as trophies for those placing in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, each finalist horse will be given a personalised starting number to be kept as a souvenir of their partecipation.

 

The race will be the seventh one of the programme starting at 9:15 pm.
