MHRU Championsip 3rd Leg


The 3rd Leg of the Mediterranean Horse Racing Union Championship will be raced next Sunday afternoon at the Akbuzat Racetrack in Ufa Russia with the Maltese representative being Paul Galea.


 


27-year old Galea has held a Malta Racing Club driver licence since 2011 and he has won a total of 55 races. In 2017 he was the best youth driver of the Malta Racing Club gaining him the right to represent our country in the Amateurs Cup at Vincennes France.in January 2018.


 


The draws to see what horse he will be driving will be done just before the first race and then for the second race the drivers will switch horses according to the order of finish in the first race. The races will be over 1600m and they will be driving Russian and Orlov horses aged 4 years and over.


 


Malta is currently occupying first place in this championship as both Noel Baldacchino and Clint Vassallo had managed to win their respective races held at Malta and Romania.
