This afternoon horse racing driver Noel Baldacchino leaves Malta for Serbia so that on Saturday he will represent our Country in the third leg of the Mediterranean Horse Racing Union Championship.
Accompanied by the Malta Racing Club’s Chairman Mr Edwin Borg, Baldacchino is aspiring to continue in the same manner as his colleagues who have previously registered success during the legs raced in Malta and Russia respectively.
The race will be held at the Hipodrom KD “Knez Mihailo” in Pozarevac and apart from Baldacchino for Malta the other participants will be Martin Cormy (France), Francesco La Rosa (Italy), Bolshakov Genadii (Russia) and Branislav Mukic (Serbia). Invitations have also been sent out to drivers from Ireland, Rumania and Bulgaria as special guests.
The race will be over the 1600m distance and will be contested with French mares. The driver draws will be effected on Saturday prior to the start of the races.
We wish Noel Baldacchino a good performance.
