Having a late night flight, Charles Camilleri left for Moscow in order to participate in the 2nd leg of the Mediterranean Horse Racing Championship on Sunday 5th August. The first leg was traditionally held in Malta and during which our representative driver Rodney Gatt finished in joint first place with Italian Francesco La Rosa.
Our Maltese drivers always fare well during this championship and we have been declared overall winner numerous times including in last year’s edition.
Charles Camilleri is certainly not a newcomer in this championship having won the French Leg last year but for him this will be the first time participating at the Moscow Hippodrome in Russia. He will be taking part in two races for which the draws will be effected at noon of the same day.
Accompanying Charles Camilleri is the General Secretary of the Malta Racing Club Tommy Cunningham.
