The Malta Racing Club is pleased to announce that the 2010 Malta – Sicily Encounter Race will this year be held on the 1st August at the “Ippodromo del Mediterraneo”.

The twenty participants, 10 horses coming from Malta and 10 Italian horses, will run two races on the day over a distance of 1600m. The programme will hold a heat between the Maltese participants and a heat between the Italian representatives. The first 5 from each heat will participate in the Main Final, whilst the other 5 horses will run in a consolation Final.

The Malta Racing Club, will soon be holding a meeting with all interested owners to discuss the full details of this year’s event. All other information will have to be confirmed with the Italian authorities.
